What are your interests?

Badminton has been my passion since elementary school. Despite coming from a public school, I took on private school players and won—eventually earning the chance to train with a private coach. I dominated the court as a singles player all through college, proving that skill matters more than background.

I’ve always balanced both masculine and feminine styles—one day, I’m a “boyish girl,” the next, a pageant contestant. In college, I was also a hip-hop dancer, performing whenever I could—until COVID hit in 2020. Now, I jokingly call myself a “piggy dancer,” but the rhythm never left my soul.

As an ultimate anime fan, I take it to the next level—cosplaying male characters just to make girls swoon. My room is an anime paradise, filled with posters, manga panels, and life-sized husbandos. Basically, I’m living every anime lover’s dream!

Why do you do what you do?

“Still a long way to go, but I’ve come so far.”

This quote always reminds me of my purpose and why I keep moving forward. Coming from a modest family, I worked hard to ease my parents’ financial burden—earning scholarships and making them proud by consistently ranking among the top of my class. I don’t see myself as a genius, but I know my success comes from dedication and resilience.

Funny enough, I believe I was destined to work for a Singaporean company.Back in my first year of college, my classmates and I presented about one Asian country—almost like a foreshadowing of where I’d end up.

Today, I keep pushing forward—not just for myself, but to build a better future for my family and inspire others to believe that hard work and determination can turn dreams into reality.

What was your very first dream job?

My very first dream job was to be a nurse. Back in Grade 6, during a recollection, I always said I wanted to take care of my parents—especially my father, who was a heavy smoker and suffered from asthma. Living far from the nearest hospital (a 30-minute motorcycle ride away) made the idea even more important to me.

But reality hit—nursing was expensive, and, as it turns out, I was never meant for it. Why? Because I have ridiculously low pain tolerance! Even minor injuries make me nauseous and lightheaded. One of my earliest (and most traumatic) memories of this? A pedicure gone wrong—where the manicurist insisted on removing “dried skin,” and I ended up bleeding, in pain, and nearly passing out. *cries in japanese*

If you could have plenty of time, money and resources, would you still work?

Absolutely, yes! LOL.

If there’s one thing I truly want to dedicate my time, money, and resources to, it’s helping stray dogs and cats. My dream is to build a loving home for them because they deserve the same love and care they so selflessly give. No animal should feel abandoned, unloved, or hurt by irresponsible owners. They deserve better—and one day, I hope to make that a reality.

If you could have a vacation tradition, what would it be?

Every year, I want to experience something new with my family—to make up for the times we couldn’t afford to travel. My dream is to take my parents to breathtaking places, letting them see the beauty of the world first-hand.

Whether it’s exploring vibrant cities, relaxing on serene beaches, or immersing ourselves in different cultures, I want to create unforgettable memories filled with laughter, adventure, and the joy of discovering the world together.

If you could suddenly transport to another time period permanently, which era would you prefer?

If I could travel through time, I’d choose to transport to the future. The mysteries of what lies ahead have always intrigued me—how humanity will evolve, how technology will advance, and whether the prophecies in the Bible will unfold.

I can’t help but wonder what kind of world awaits beyond my time.

What is a charity you wish more people knew about?

I wish more people knew about charities that help stray dogs, cats, and those abandoned by their owners. It’s heartbreaking to see animals euthanized simply because they’re considered “big dogs” or labelled as dangerous.

These innocent animals deserve a second chance at life, love, and a safe home. I hope that with more support and awareness, we can save more lives and ensure every animal receives the care and compassion they truly deserve.

What is your favourite joke?

“Why don’t skeletons fight each other?”
“Because they don’t have the guts!”

Okay next!😆

What is the best advice you've ever received?

“Suffer for four years so you can enjoy the rest of your life, rather than enjoy for four years only to suffer for the rest of your life.”

I first heard this advice in college from a professor named Christian, and it really stuck with me. At the time, I was struggling with academic stress and the pressure I had put on myself (not from my parents, lol) to graduate with Latin honours.
This wisdom helped me persevere, and I proudly graduated Cum Laude.

Even now, I continue to live by this advice—sacrificing a few years for the sake of long-term security and stability.

What are you most proud of?

My greatest pride is my parents. Despite coming from a modest background, they worked hard to ensure their only daughter could attend and graduate from a prestigious private school in the Philippines.

A special shoutout to my amazing, strong-but-softy MOMMA—you’re the main character in my life story! And, of course, to my DADA for supporting me every step of the way!
