WEB DEVELOPER

ERIC (CIRE)

Eric is a seasoned web developer and SEO strategist with over a decade of experience building high-performing, user-focused websites. He combines technical expertise with creative problem-solving to craft digital experiences that stand out and deliver results.

Outside of work, he’s a rockstar dad with a passion for anime, arcade games, cosplay, and rock music—bringing the same energy and creativity to both his projects and family life.

What are your interests?

When I’m not deep in code or making websites run smoothly, you’ll probably find me lost in my hobbies. I love playing musical instruments—whether it’s strumming a guitar or just making some noise for fun. I’m also a total movie junkie—action, thrillers, sci-fi—you name it. If my family loves it too, you can bet we’ve watched it a dozen times.

But when it’s time to go full ‘hardcore dad mode,’ I trade my keyboard for power tools. Welding, carpentry, car repairs—if it involves building, fixing, or getting my hands dirty, I’m all in. Whether I’m tuning up a website or an old engine, I tackle it with the same passion, creativity, and just the right amount of elbow grease.

Why do you do what you do?

As a kid, I was always fascinated by computers. I’d watch my dad repair TVs, but all those circuits looked way too complicated to me. Computers, on the other hand, seemed much simpler—back then, you either focused on hardware or software.

I picked up hardware maintenance quickly since it was all about compatibility and plug-and-play. But it wasn’t until my software professor introduced me to how the web works and taught me to build an HTML website that everything clicked. That’s when I realized the true power of the internet and how the information we share can shape the world.

What was your very first dream job?

My first dream job was to become an arcade game developer—I was completely addicted to video games.

I think that passion is what led me to dive into computers and figure out how they work. The more I played, the more I wanted to understand what made games come to life, and that curiosity set me on the path I’m on today.

If you could have plenty of time, money and resources, would you still work?

Yes, I believe so. Retirement isn’t the end of creativity—it’s just a new chapter.

Every day is an opportunity to create. Whether good or bad things happen, they’re still creations, shaping our lives and often impacting others in ways we might not even realize.

If you could have a vacation tradition, what would it be?

A domestic road trip is the perfect way to discover the hidden paradises in our own country (The Philippines). There’s something magical about exploring off-the-beaten-path spots, finding those secret gems that most people miss. It’s like uncovering a whole new world right at your doorstep.

Here’s a short clip of our road trip to Tagaytay Philippines!

If you could suddenly transport to another time period permanently, which era would you prefer?

I’d love to be transported to The Lapu-Lapu era.

It reminds us of how rich our culture and history is. If we truly embraced and preserved our traditions and the wisdom passed down through generations, the Philippines could thrive as a strong, self-sustaining nation—potentially even becoming a second-world country that stands proudly on its own.

What is a charity you wish more people knew about?

Patriotism is about loving our country with a deep understanding of its history, not just memorizing dates and events. History tends to repeat itself when we fail to learn from the lessons of the past. True patriotism comes from applying that knowledge and wisdom to build a better future for our nation.

What is your favourite joke?

My kids turn into little “PANIKI” (Bat) every time I ask them to help with household chores. They always respond with, “Bat ako?” (which is short for “Why me” in Tagalog but in English it makes them sound as if they have turned to Bats haha!)

What is the best advice you've ever received?

“You might not be an achiever, but thank God every day for the gift of being a fulfiller.”

What are you most proud of?

Spending time with the people I care about brings me a deep sense of fulfilment. It’s in those moments that I experience the true richness of life—whether it’s sharing laughter, learning from each other, or simply being present. These connections are what make life truly meaningful.
